About Ana Gloria
Classically trained and inspired by the Old Masters, my artwork is representational. To me beauty is fundamental and I look for it on a daily basis in the natural world. I am always inspired by God’s creations, that is why some of my favorite subjects to paint are people, landscapes, and still lives. Representing everyday objects in ways that seem more meaningful, help one focus on the beauty of shape and form.
My inspirations come from the quotidian beauty all around me, and my main materials are graphite pencils, Contè pencils, and oils.
The end goal with all of my paintings is to produce a beautiful piece of art that allows you to see the form, shape, and values, and is rendered in such a way that it appears 3-dimensional on the canvas.
