Artist’s Statement

Classically trained and inspired by the Old Masters, my artwork is representational. To me beauty is fundamental and I look for it on a daily basis in the natural world. I am always inspired by God’s creations, that is why some of my favorite subjects to paint are people, landscapes, and still lives. Representing everyday objects in ways that seem more meaningful, help one focus on the beauty of shape and form.

Praise & Accolades

Ana Gloria’s paintings are beautiful and realistic. Their depth of atmosphere evokes childhood memories as they jump off the page. She masterfully portrays the trompe l’oeil effect in all of her work.

My Thoughts On Realism

I like the realism style of painting because people are going back to beautiful things that make sense and are comforting. Realism makes sense — it’s good to know art history because then you can see how us humans have always been creative and made art. Art history, history of people, & history of the world go hand in hand.
